The Origins of Shorty & Co Permanent Jewelry

What and Who is Shorty and Co? 

We will probably create more questions before we start the answers! Shorty and Co is the Permanent Jewelry brand operated by The Crafty Shambles. For those that have been our clients for a long time, you'll know that Shorty and Co Permanent Jewelry was originally started and run by Grady. 

When Grady first started Permanent Jewelry, one of the first locations Grady would run popups was at The Crafty Shambles Studio Store in Bentonville. The Crafty Shambles store offered a place for local artists and makers to offer their goods and services, craft workshops, and also sold their own locally made items too - most well known for woodwork. 

Grady sold the business to The Crafty Shambles in August 2024, we knew it was a product customers loved, we were excited because it was so new, we were excited about the possibilities - and also the fun we could have with it. 

When we set out with Permanent Jewelry, we set out on a mission. We wanted to build on the fantastic job Grady had done to grow the business, and continue to strive to offer high quality permanent jewelry at fair prices to the people of Northwest Arkansas. 

While the store itself has now closed, we will be continuing to offer Permanent Jewelry - and you'll find us at popups in stores in Northwest Arkansas, at markets/craft events, and you can also schedule us for private parties. Permanent Jewelry is great for a bachelorette party, birthday party, or even a Wedding Evening reception! 

As Permanent Jewelry is still unfamiliar to many, we also recognize we have a responsibility to educate our clients on Permanent Jewelry - what it is, what it isn't, how long it lasts, and ensuring that our clients make informed choices about the jewelry they choose. We want you to be happy with your jewelry, we would love you to come back for more. 

We launched this website in December 2024, and we hope you find it helpful as you decide whether Permanent Jewelry is right for you, and if it is, we hope you consider us to do your fitting! 2025 will be our first full year of Permanent Jewelry service, and we look forward to getting out into Northwest Arkansas, talking about Permanent Jewelry, meeting new clients, and continuing to offer and grow our high quality range of affordable jewelry to everyone.
